What We Learned at HubSpot UNBOUND 2026 (And What It Means for You).

Our HubSpot UNBOUND 2026 recap, from AI context to new Sales and Service agents, and what it means for your business.

I recently got back from Boston, where I spent four days at HubSpot's UNBOUND conference. You probably knew it as INBOUND. HubSpot gave it a new name this year, but the event still ran September 15 through 18. My team and I sat through dozens of sessions, took a stack of notes (actually, no notes. We turned on our HubSpot notetakers and let it help us shrink down what we learned. We love AI!), and talked with people building the future of sales and marketing tech. Here's my UNBOUND recap: what stood out, and what it means for you.

The Big Idea: Context Beats Tools

HubSpot opened the event with a number that stuck with me. In a survey of 6,000 companies, only 6% said they get real, transformational results from AI. The other 94% are stuck chasing tools and generic use cases. The difference isn't access to better technology. It's context, meaning the business, customer, and team knowledge that makes AI actually useful.

That idea showed up in almost every session I attended. The question isn't "should we use AI" anymore. It's "how do we give AI the right context to do its job well." Bad or outdated context, HubSpot's team said, is worse than no AI at all.

This isn't a new idea to us. It's the reason we build a Tactical Sales Plan for our clients in the first place. A good plan gives your team, and now your AI tools, the context they need to actually help you sell.

What's Changing in Sales and Service

HubSpot is layering AI directly into Sales Hub and Service Hub. On the sales side, new HubSpot AI agents handle prospecting, deal tracking, and revenue collection, all pulling from one shared view of your CRM. HubSpot reported that customers using the new Prospecting Agent are seeing more qualified leads and more booked meetings.

Service Hub got even more stage time this year. HubSpot says its new Customer Agent resolves around 70% of support tickets automatically, with faster resolution times across thousands of live deployments. We've had our eye on Service Hub as a place to grow our own expertise, and this confirms we're looking in the right spot.

What's Changing in Marketing

Marketing Studio looked ready for prime time. It’s built to replace the manual campaign decks a lot of teams, including ours, still put together by hand.

We’ve been playing around with the new Content Hub features, and it’s been fun to see what’s possible. HubSpot also overhauled Breeze, its AI assistant. It’s now one place to build custom agents and run workflows, using the context already in your CRM. Breeze can draft things like LinkedIn posts, and you can save prompts for repeat tasks like blog posts.

AI search had a moment too. HubSpot shared data showing that traffic from AI referrals converts at a noticeably higher rate than traffic from regular search. If your business isn’t showing up in AI-generated answers yet, that’s a conversation worth having. We offer an AEO audit that shows how you appear in AI answers today.

What We're Doing With All of This

My team walked away with more than 30 follow-up ideas. They range from new workflow automations to a plan for building out our Service Hub expertise. We’re sorting through them now, and we're excited to share the ones that could help your business so we can talk them through together.

If you want to talk through what any of this means for your business, reach out.  That's what we're here for.
