HubSpot’s Commerce Hub Is Now Revenue Hub. Here’s What Changed
HubSpot just made a big change to Commerce Hub — and we're digging in to figure out what it means for our clients. Here's what we know so far.
If you've been using HubSpot for a while, you may have already spotted the change. Commerce Hub is now Revenue Hub. And HubSpot is clear that this is more than a cosmetic update.
We want to be upfront: our team at The Middle Six is still getting hands-on with the new features. We're not going to act like we have all the answers yet. But we do want to make sure our clients know what's happening — and what to start thinking about.
Here's what we know so far.
What Was HubSpot Commerce Hub?
Commerce Hub was HubSpot's tool for handling the transactional side of your business — payments, invoices, subscriptions, and quotes.
That last one is worth calling out. Commerce Hub also housed legacy quotes — the standard quoting tool many HubSpot users have relied on for years to send proposals directly from a deal record.
One thing to know: legacy quotes are still available to accounts that were created before September 3, 2025. So if your team has been using them, they're not going anywhere — at least not yet. You can see the full breakdown of legacy quotes vs. the newer quoting experience in HubSpot's Knowledge Base.
Commerce Hub worked. But it was fairly disconnected from everything else. A signed quote didn't automatically kick off billing unless you built a workflow for that function. Renewals had to be tracked manually. The money side of a deal lived separately from the rest of the customer relationship. That's the gap Revenue Hub is trying to close.
So What Is HubSpot Revenue Hub?
Revenue Hub helps you manage end-to-end revenue, from the initial sale through billing, payments, renewals, and revenue growth. It includes tools for quote and invoice generation, payment processing, contract management, and revenue reporting.
The name change tells you something. Commerce implied individual transactions. Revenue implies the whole picture — from first quote to final payment, and everything in between.
Centralizing these processes will help teams work from the same revenue data. Customer-facing teams — including sales, billing, and customer success — can manage the revenue lifecycle in HubSpot, from deals and quotes to contracts, invoicing, and payment collection.
Is This Just a Rebrand?
Others think it's Commerce Hub with a new name and not much else.
We're not ready to land on either side yet — that's kind of the point. We're still testing.
But the one thing that has our attention is the Contracts object. It's a native CRM object in HubSpot now, just like contacts, companies, or deals. When a quote gets accepted, a contract record is created automatically. All the details are there from the start. All the associations are there.
That might sound small. But if you've ever had to manually track what a customer is actually paying for at renewal time, you know why it matters.
That's the piece we want to dig into. We'll share more as we learn it.
What's New in Revenue Hub?
Here's what HubSpot has highlighted as the key additions:
-
Contracts
This is the big one. When a quote is accepted, HubSpot automatically creates a contract record. Billing starts, invoices generate, and renewals are tracked — with no manual handoff needed. For anyone who's dealt with the gap between a signed deal and actual payment, this is worth paying attention to.
I'm looking forward to exploring what kind of automations we can set up with this new record type.
-
A connected HubSpot quote-to-cash flow
Quote to contract to invoice to payment — all in HubSpot. No switching tools, no reconciling across systems.
-
More from HubSpot CPQ
You can build quotes with AI prompts, apply price books (currently in beta) by customer segment, and create personalized quote templates.
-
AI that helps with follow-up
Breeze can prioritize overdue invoices and draft collection emails so your team focuses on the right accounts. A Customer Agent feature also lets buyers find and pay invoices on their own — no rep required.
-
Accounting integrations stay in place
Invoices and payments sync automatically to QuickBooks Online and Xero.
Do Existing Commerce Hub Users Need to Do Anything?
The short answer is: not right away. Your legacy quotes, payment links, and invoices aren't disappearing. But there are new capabilities worth exploring — especially if your team is spending time on manual follow-up between a closed deal and collected payment.

We're Still Digging In — And We'd Love to Chat
Revenue Hub just launched, and we're actively testing the new features to understand how they fit different business models. We want to know what works, what's ready for prime time, and what might need more runway before we start recommending it to clients.
What we do know is that the gap between a signed deal and collected payment is one of the messiest parts of the sales process for a lot of small businesses. If Revenue Hub delivers on what HubSpot is describing, that's a real problem worth solving.
If you're curious about HubSpot Revenue Hub and whether it makes sense for your business, let's talk. Reach out to The Middle Six — we'll figure it out together.
