Milwaukee’s Equity in Tech Summit Oct. 10, 2023
The Middle Six’s own Lisa Proeber will be a guest speaker at this year’s Milwaukee’s Equity in Tech Summit.
Presented by Milky Way Tech Hub, this half-day conference provides leaders with the tools, trainings, and connections needed to build a more inclusive, equitable tech workforce.
This year’s conference will respond to the central theme, “How can AI advance our collective efforts to increase equity in the tech sector?”
Speakers will dive deep into the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in driving economic inclusion and sustainable solutions to bridge the racial wealth and achievement gaps in our city, while also addressing key practical and ethical concerns around AI tools.
The opening keynote speaker will be Lili Gangas, Chief Technology Community Officer at the Kapor Center out of Oakland; she will discuss responsible AI leadership. The closing keynote speaker will be Yeshimabeit Milner, Founder of Data for Black Lives out of New York City. Other speakers include Sarah Alt, Chief Process & AI Officer at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, and Ben Juarez, Co-Founder of Latinos in Tech.
